Well, maybe instead of making the back 10U tall, I should make it 5U tall and people can use two. The gauge of the metal is planned to 18 gauge steel, which is almost twice as thick as the brackets I sell. The prototype is 22 gauge and is too flexible in my opinion. So, 5U would be plenty stiff. But, without question, two 5Us will cost more money than one 10U. It is the labor and not the material that drives the price. How much more? I dunno. I'll get a quote. All feedback welcome. Two 5Us tall OK instead of one 10U. Feedback that also says "and I would buy X number of these" is especially meaningful since I have no idea if there is enough interest to make this project fly. I'll make them if enough people. I need feedback on the proposed solutions to the "flange conflict issue" as described with the larger detail photos at: http://www.wiseguysynth.com/larry/misc/skb.htm Now, while some may find other uses, this is a SKB pop-up companion product. So, I cannot make it deeper to accommodate Blacet Time Machines and other oversized module in other racks and such. It MUST fit the SKB case. I'm not saying I can't or won't do the other if enough people are interested. :) Let me here what you have to say. I'll having pricing soon.
