Finally, someone brought up what is truly important at the moment. And several others have alluded to it. HARDWARE. The software can be modified down the line, although the percentage of us that can modify the firmware will dwindle as the number of MOTM owners increases. But it only takes one or a few people to do that and make it available to all other DoMOAS owners. Well, we need to be concerned about what features we want Paul to include in the hardware. This is the hard part to change later on. Some of the decisions will be dictated my simplicity of design and some will be dictated by the abilities and limitations of the processor itself. Questions to be asking and suggesting (and justifying) answers to: How many outputs? How can those outputs be configured? Switches? Buttons? LEDs? Knobs? Size? Number? Layout? Inputs? MIDI I/O? Considerations for PSU? Considerations for stand-alone units? Connectors to multiple DoMOASes? I know most of this has been hit on at one point or another. And the functionality we desire to be included in the firmware will have to be taken in to consideration when making hardware decisions. Enough rambling... --Shemp > From: Christopher Jeris <cjeris@...> > On Fri, 10 Sep 1999, Dave Bradley wrote: > > Me, I like a pushbutton for each stage that sets it active.
