MOTM

Well, having just read up on fixed filter banks (they can't possibly 
be what they sound like, can they?) I discovered that they were, 
disappointingly, basically just graphic EQs.

Wouldn't a parametric EQ be better?  But, most importantly, wouldn't 
we be better off usinc EQs made by the big companies?  There's 
practically a whole EQ industry (check out manley labs's 
expensive "Tube EQ" line)

Is a fixed filter bank really that exciting?  I still vote for 
Parametric EQ, possibly voltage controlled.  ...  Hmm, sounds a bit 
like an MOTM-410 on steroids.
