Excuse my bandwidth, but MOTM folks are a fountainhead of knowledge, and I need some advice. Now that everyone's egos are sufficiently stroked ;-) I have a 450 Mhz G4 Mac and am in the market for an audio/MIDI interface. I have an original MOTU MTP but can't use it because Macs don't have serial ports anymore, and I'm leery of serial-USB converters when it comes to MIDI. What I'm looking at right now is a toss-up between a Digi-001 and a MOTU equivalent. Budget is $1K or so. Besides sequencing & recording MOTM music, I also need to digitize old vinyl records, 33s and 78s (remember those?). I already have a Denon turntable with a digital out, so the DAW software I settle on will need to run a good vinyl restorer plug-in. If anybody has any suggestions, email me privately. And when Tony K's MOTMized Expresionist becomes available, I'll have a JKJ CV-5 for sale ;-) Thanks lots. Chuck
