To reiterate what has already been said, I'm sure Paul has no plans to have a modular synth system without continuing to offer key modules like VCAs! The reason that the 110 is going away is that there's a chip in it that has become rare, and also because it is being replaced by a super-accurate Dual VCA very soon. You may want to consider getting one 'while the gettin's good,' and don't worry about the rare chip--I'm pretty sure Paul "holds back a spare" for every module he ships for future repairs, just in case. That's a great insurance policy!! This is the only module ever to go 'bye-bye' (with the possible exception of the 100 noise module which was replaced by the enhanced 101). When Paul announced that they were getting rare, I immediately grabbed one more VCA just to have a few of every module, even though the new VCA is coming. [Part of me wishes I had one of the old 100's, just because it's a hole in my collection.] ;) The uVCO does not replace the 300; it is an adjunct. A complete system will still have several 300s, but the uVCO gives you a few more stable, accurate oscillators in a smaller space for those times when you don't need every feature. There's no way we would want to lose the extended functionality of the 300, though; that VCO is iconic, part of Synth Tech's claim to fame! Just my $0.02. -----Original Message----- From: sucrosemusic@... Does that mean no more, ever? EEK! I'd like to have a VCA in my synth, when I build it. Before, you also mentioned running low on or out of the 300s. Are your plans to release sucessors to these modules, such as the uVCO to replace the 300s? A new VCA module, maybe? Or will there be something like a several-month wait time before you start making these kits again. I nearly had a heart attack! -Geoff
