OK, OK.. I fired up my MOTM-850 prototype (not the same, but close enough), and I have my Yamaha BC-2 breath controller working just fine with it through a small daughter board with one op amp, and 4 resistors. It will require four wire connections to the MOTM-850, none of which will require modifying the 850 electronics in any way. Of course, you will have to drill one hole in the panel to mount the jack for the BC to plug into. As soon as I get my MOTM-850, I will tweak the resistor values to match the real thing, build the daughter board, install the modification on my 850 and post photos and schematics on my website for anyone to use. I am in search right now for a very small PCB that will be just right for the job. Now, there is one other possibility which I have not tried, but I think it will work and I will follow up if anyone is interested. I instead of modifying the 850, this small PCB could be mounting in a very small project box with a jack for the Yamaha breath control on one side and a jack on the other side to patch to your 850. I think the PCB in the box could draw its power from the 850 pedal in jack. Whadda ya think? Makes the circuit a lot more challenging though. Negative voltages are there, and none of the tip/ring/sleeve had ground on it. It isn't what it seems like it should be. Nobody else seems to be able to confirm or deny what I measured so apparently nobody has ever built anything for it. -Elhardt
