Is > there a web site that describes them (kit I assume), offers short audio > clips, ...? hello all, i think i started this off, so it's up to me now larry has posted the link (which is good because it's on my computer at work, and it's change since i got the modules a year ago) the only modules available are a bass and a snare, kits with full parts apart from knobs & panel, the pcb is single sided, no solder mask, and needs a little drilling for a suitable mounting solution a cymbal was said to be in the pipeline, but when i emailed thomas henry last month he said (and i quote) "i'm still trying to price out a decent circuit board for this, so i don't know yet". there is no voltage control on any of the modules, just trigger in, drum sound out. the sounds are okay, plenty of controls to mess with, a little bit "boingy", like a simmons sdsv - but i've only really started to mess with them there's plenty of potential for 'other sounds' there aren't any samples on the midwest site, but i have some loops i've been recording - of course they're on the computer that's just had it's processor upgraded, so i need to reset all the soundcard preferences, again - if anyone wants to listen, give me a shout and i'll try and mp3 them and put them on the web somewhere the essential item to use with these modules is a midi to trigger convertor, i use this in conjunction with a pattern based sequencer like the Korg ES-1 (electribe sampler) - very powerful combination, at the time the midiwest module (the adv-midi) was the only one available, or that i could find - and my one bugbears is that the trigger pulses are a little too short - it won't trigger my dark star for example. the trigger pulses can be lengthened to some extent with cap value change but i've not gotten around to this mod yet. anyway, in the year since i've had the adv-midi, EFM has started producing one, and i think John Blacet has one in the pipeline (or was that synth.com..?) cheers paul b(oing boom tchak)
