Bestiary and Robert Rich

2001-10-16 by thomas white

OK so it took forever to write this review and give credit where it is due,
but better late than never right? I have been listening to Bestiary at night
while assembling some straggler kits and boy is it ever inspiring. I love to
hear the small snippets of stuff previewed on the MOTM News page. This CD is
beyond any expectations I had and I commend Robert both on the pristine
studio production and the lovely compositions within. Robert is obviously a
master sound craftsman and I love the effects on the tribal sounding vocals
especially. Super other-world dimension. I also love the talking patch as
previewed on the synthtech.com website. It is hard to beleive the scope of
work involved but easy to see that Robert has taken the time to fit all of
the sounds together into an orchestra of frequencies. Both acoustic and MOTM
blend so smooth it is hard to tell which is the synth and which is reality
or instruments "through" the synth. I am very impressed, and to top it off I
recently bought an official ACID 3.0 version and some of Robert's Work is
included in the loops section of the content CD. Bravo! Hats off to you
Robert for pushing forward with your own visions and to Paul for stoking
each of us out with a free CD of this magnitude. This sure made a dark day
turn bright for me and I thank you for that as well. Long Live MOTM!
