You are indeed correct - MOTM is the way to go. :)  Paul already hit the
nail on the head, but I'll give my 2 cents anyway.

Buy the 900 Power Supply and 410 Filter modules, and build the 900 first
(you need it to run all powered MOTM modules) then build the 410.  You'll
fall in love with this module and will *immediately* want a second one!
But, buy the 420 VCF next along with either the 850 Pedal Interface or the
320 LFO (or both!).  After that, the 440 LPF.

By this point, you'll be hawking everything you own (including the Nord)
cause you'll have the "gotta-get-me-some-more-MOTM" disease.

Hint: Make sure you have a good temp controlled soldering iron - like a
Weller WTCPT.
