You can also use a guitar volume pedal with a custom cable to convert 
the stereo phone plug at the 850 end to two mono phone plugs. I use 
an Ernie Ball pedal in this way. It has a weird response since it's 
an audio taper pot inside the pedal, but it works. I'd only recommend 
going this route if you have such a pedal laying around idle.
