It is good to hear from our NYC MOTM buddies. Great news about your friend Mike. Sadly, many will not get such good news. Hopefully some of our other NYC friends will find a way to touch base eventually. We heard from Mark S day one that he did not go to work that day. However, the Amex building where I think he works does not appear to be in good shape according to the TV reports. I got something in my E-mail at work today which was beautiful and just added to the total global outpouring of sorrow and support toward America. Someone (I think a US serviceman) sent photos home of hundreds of people in Kosovo lighting candles, and waving American flags (many crying in empathy) and such in support of those who have lost so much. Larry H. ----- Original Message ----- From: <JD990Exp@...> It took me about thirty hours, but I was able to find my friend who was on floor 68 of tower two at the time of impact. She was dazed and disoriented, but not seriously physically hurt. Mike C. Wave Music NYC From: <RSchwim295@...> Hi, my name is Rob Schwimmer-- I don't yet own any MOTM but have been on the list for a while. I live in the East Village and my family and friends are all intact (just in case anybody on this list knows me...) Glad everyone else seems to be ok It took thirty six hours or so to do, but it finally happened, we spoke and I was able to register her on the list of recovered missing persons, watch the number tick down by 1. There is hope in all of this, through the sleeplessness and headaches and shortness of breath, there is hope and the affirmation of a shared humanity whose existence I had all too often doubted amoung my fellow Americans. Thanks to all, both for your ongoing support and goodwill as well as your tolerance in listening to my experience. Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
