Paul and I briefly discussed re-doing the power supply to a 2U panel that could be mounted sideways. You of course, can mount two 2U MOTM modules sideways on standard rack rails in that bottom 2U of space. I don't use the pop up case, but I think it would be cool to have some stuff specifically made for those bottom rows. Maybe case 1 could have one side the power supply and the other side a multiple panel with a DC connecting jack to go to SKB rack # 2. SKB rack # 2 might have a 2U with multiple and power jack (the receiving end) and maybe Paul's 2U mixer on the other side. Of course, it would be cool to have a panel with the graphics sideways for such an application. My system is still sitting in a 12 space 19" rack. The part that has been a bummer is that 3 unit wide power supply. I know many of your have mounted your power supplies in other ways. My rack was scrounged from what I had on hand, and the only thing available was an open back 12 space effects rack. After some thinking, I decided to use one of the 2 empty rack spaces at the bottom for my power supply, and the other for a Lexicon Vortex that is currently a guardian of the dust in my closet. It turns out that you buy a blank 1u panel cheaply, and with a small amout of work get everything mounted nicely. There was space left over for several jacks, which I use for the input, output and control signals for the Vortex. It is much more handy to have them on the front panel where they can be easily patched into the rest of the modular. Just some thoughts and encouragement to experiment. Bruce Your use of Yahoo!
