Standard rack rails use #10-32 machine screws. MOTM rack rails use #8- 32 machine screws. The hole spacing is exactly the same for MOTM as for standard rails. The MOTM panels could probably take a #10 screw in their corner holes if you insisted on modifying a standard rail to mount horizontally. BUT, I'd sure try it first, and you should be aware that you wouldn't have as much slop factor for minute panel placement adjustments.
