If the goal is to get a precise minimum and maximun of several input CVs,
I have something like than in my polymodular interface to derive the highest
and lowest note from a number of polyphonic keyboard CVs.

If precision is not needed, just build an "OR" and and "AND" function
from N diodes and one resistor, buffer it with an opamp, and includ another
diode in the feedback of the opamp to get a crude compensation for the
diode drop of the input network.
