Problems with milter-greylist and ldapcheck

2016-11-07 by Gerhard Schmidt

Hi

I'm using milter-greylist for quite some time (version 4.2.7 up until
yesterday). Because of an neede OS update i was forced to update to
4.4.3 and my proven config just simply stopped to work.

it seams that my ldapchecks didn't match anymore, so everytime the
default rule is invoked which is whilelist in my case.

the ldap query's are executed an return the correct values (checked with
wireshark).

Is there a way to have milter-graylist print out every step while
processing a connection to help debugging this problem.

I have attached my config file.

Regards
  Gerhard Schmidt

That should not happen.

You can run in the foreground with verbose output:
milter-greylist -Dv -u $appropriate_user

I see only the parsing of the config file but not the handling of the
Mails.

I've attached the output of milter-greylist -l -v -D -u mailnull to this
Mail.

At the moment I run milter-greylist 4.4.3 installed via FreeBSD Ports.

it can't read the config at all. It breaks with an error while parsing
the ldap urls. (Logfile: ldap_short.log)

if I pad some of the ldapcheck statements with quite a lot spaces at the
and the same statements can be parsed but it still doesn't work.
(logfile: ldap_long.log)
