Missing quarantine option

Missing quarantine option

2016-08-26 by Christian Pélissier

Hi,

I found no quarantine option for milter-greylist racl and dacl
(only blacklist, greylist or whitelist).

Milter API now offer a smfi_quarantine callback to put incoming
mail into quarantine in the mail queue.

A quarantine option should be useful and could be a temporary
stage directive before using blacklist. For example if

racl quarantine from /.*@xxxxxx\.com/ reason "Detected as SPAM"

Is there a technical reason not implementing quarantine option ?

PS

Managing sendmail quarantine is easy

First quarantine works if you declare FEATURE(`delay_checks')dnl inside
sendmail.mc

List quarantined mail in queue : mailq -qQ

Release an email from quarantine state : sendmail -qQ -qI$QID
where $QID is the QID see with mailq -qQ

No, it is just that nobody contributed it so far.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
