milter-greylist problem

2011-06-30 by Damjan Hajsek

Hi.

I didn't found any solution for this problem with milter-greylist on my centos server 5.0.

When I am starting milter I get this error

»Milter-Greylist: config error at line 10: syntax error«

After I comented out this line with #

I get next error

»Milter-Greylist: config error at line 11: syntax error«

After commented out that line too I get next error

»Milter-Greylist: config error at line 128: syntax error«

So I comented out tha line too -> racl whitelist list "my network"

And line -> racl whitelist list "broken mta"

After that I get this error

»Milter-Greylist: config error at line 138: syntax error«
So I comented out that too -> racl greylist list "grey users" delay 30m autowhite 3d
And that too -> racl whitelist default

But still get in the logs this error
milter-greylist: config file "/etc/mail/greylist.conf" unavailable

Is there ok to comment all that lines from greylist.conf?
And why is problem with milter-greylist: config file "/etc/mail/greylist.conf" unavailable in my log files

Can you help please.

What about all the stars? Where are they came from?
It would be nice, if you could post greylist.conf here or provide a URL to
it.
Beside the stars, which are really irritating in your post, maybe some
other textual format problem (line ending or so) perturbs your config
file.

Definitely no.

Does it exist or has it the correct permissions? The user-id/group-id
under which the milter-greylist daemon is running must match the
permission/ownership of the above file ...
Maybe the daemon runs in a chroot environment or jail, where /etc/mail is mapped
elsewhere ....

What about the other stuff we asking for?

What do you get with this?
ls -l /etc/mail/greylist.conf

It is world readable, which should be okay, but perhaps the parent
directories are not. What about this?
ls -ld /etc/mail
ls -ld /etc
