In the default greylist.conf is this line

"
dumpfile "/var/milter-greylist/greylist.db" 755" line 10

is '755' correct? because when i start milter-greylist i get

"config error at line 10: syntax error"

may be '755' can be deleted in next RC

I get this error:
socket mode 755 is not allowed, Use either 666, 660, or 600

Does 600 instead of 755 work?

I have:

-rw------- 1 smmsp smmsp 1422638 Feb 10 11:46 /var/milter-greylist/greylist.db

I'm confused ... greylist.db is _not_ a socket, it's a
plain file. The error message seems to be wrong.

Of course, it's not an executable, so 755 doesn't make
sense. Mine is 600 FWIW, but it could as well be 640 or
644 or anything else that is at least u+rw and a-x.

I think 660 or 666 does not make sense either, despite
what the error message is saying. Why would any process
except milter-greylist have to write to the dumpfile?

Best regards
   Oliver

I agree it looks silly. 644/640/600 would make more sense.
