yahoo groups unreliable?

yahoo groups unreliable?

2008-10-29 by Petar Bogdanovic

Hi,

some messages addressed to this mailing-list don't make it to my inbox.
I checked the logs multiple times and there was not one single attempt
to deliver messages with the following message-ids to my address:

	200810222049.m9MKndxE058860@...
	1iplepv.9dt0ok1oumgjqM%manu@...

The first message is a few days old while the second is missing since
about one hour. (gmane and the yahoo web-interface of this list got it
instantly.)

Is anyone else seeing this?

Petar

Yes, me. I remember that one of Manuel's release announcement never made
it to my inbox. I only noticed that the release has happened because
of nobody's reply.

I would be more than happy to host this mailing list on my server
at home if people want to get rid of Yahoo.

	Kind regards

One up on that, I run a hosting company which provides these services already
for various clients (other companies, church groups, gaming clans, etc) and if
Emmanuel wanted to host this list somewhere, I'd be happy to host it on my
environment for him (clustered, in a data centre, etc).

milter-greylist has done a lot to manage spam for my clients, so I'd be happy
to donate to the project in this way if yahoo isn't up to the job.

Regards,

Michael.

Still no attempt to deliver <1iplepv.9dt0ok1oumgjqM%manu@...>..

I doesn't matter to me where this list is but I'd love to know that it's
reliable. Maybe we should ask Dan Hollis what he thinks since he did the
initial effort to create a mailing-list in the first place.
