milter-greylist 4.1.4 is available

2008-08-06 by manu@netbsd.org

Here is milter-greylist 4.1.4

http://ftp.espci.fr/pub/milter-greylist/milter-greylist-4.1.4.tgz
MD5 (milter-greylist-4.1.4.tgz) = ee20e9d616e640462d42874ee55a6401

If you used data from a LDAP directory using the urlcheck clauses in
ACL, you will enjoy this new version: LDAP support is now available
natively, using OpenLDAP libraries.

This makes the feature much more reliable (no more thread safety
horrors), and you gain the ability to query multiple servers: using a
local replica and falling back to another server if it is unvailable,
for instance.

Presentation available on wikidot

2008-08-07 by Ondrej Valousek

I have created some presentation to push my company into greylisting.
It is available at:
http://milter-greylist.wikidot.com/presentations

It also contains some statistics that might be interesting for someone.
Enjoy.

Sounds interesting. Unfortunately it seems to be Powerpoint file.
Is there a non-Micro$oft and general
readable version available somewhere ?
This is a Micro$soft-free zone here by policy.

That Powerpoint file was actually created in OpenOffice :-)

...no wonder it opened and displayed fine in OpenOffice then. :-)

Thanks for the figures. I don't understand the Resent row in the Lost
part. How do you loose resent mail?

The lost resent row means that the client tried to resend, but gave up
too early (before the enforced delay value).

Oh. Do you have different timeouts (going to days) or where these hosts
that really didn't try for a long time?

Sorry, I uploaded it in the wrong directory. It's at the advertised

Max delay I have is 30 min - you can see it from the config enclosed in
the presentation...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
