frequent crashes

Hi guys,

I have some big troubles with milter-greylist those days.

After a little more than 1020 threads it crashes or doesn't accept any
more connections
ulimits and so are correctly set, even stack size reduced to let place
for more threads

I get this error:
milter-greylist: greylist: accept() returned invalid socket (Numerical
result out of range), try again

What can I do then ?

(I get the same behavious with 3.0 and 4.0b1)

It sounds like an OS-related limitation. What system is this?

You may want to start spreading the load on different hosts, so that
milter-greylist gets less threads at the same time...

linux (debian sarge)

fixed the problem giving a libmilter compiled with
APPENDDEF(`confENVDEF', `-DSM_CONF_POLL=1')

Right :) actualy it's about 1200 threads... on 6 machines :p
of course, I would set up 12 machines instead if I could :D
