Milter-greylist

What would cause these lines in the maillog?

sendmail[16144]: l62ILiEl016144: Milter (greylist): to error state

This is the only error and it seems MilterGreylist is working.

This is on Fedora 7 using './configure --enable-dnsrbl --prefix=' to 
compile Milter Greylist 4.0a6 but I have the same issue on 3.1.8

the milter is not running, or sendmail does not look for the socket file
where the milter creates it.

Xgreylist, S=local:/var/milter-greylist/milter-greylist.sock

[root@mailscanner6 milter-greylist]# pwd
/var/milter-greylist
[root@mailscanner6 milter-greylist]# ls -la
total 55488
drwxr-xr-x  2 root root     4096 2007-07-02 14:02 .
drwxr-xr-x 22 root root     4096 2007-07-02 02:55 ..
-rw-------  1 root root 56740136 2007-07-02 14:02 greylist.db
-rwxrwxrwx  1 root root        6 2007-07-02 11:19 milter-greylist.pid
srwxrwxrwx  1 root root        0 2007-07-02 11:19 milter-greylist.sock


Looks like sendmail.cf (and the .mc) both point to the correct 
folder, and that folder has the milter-greylist.sock with the current 
date/time stamp from last startup.  Any ideas on what to look for?

... My installation shows: # ls -lh /var/milter-greylist total 232K -rw------- 1 smmsp smmsp 224K Jul  2 20:22 greylist.db -rw-r--r-- 1 root  root     5 Jun 25

I believe I found the issue. In sendmail.cf
O InputMailFilters=greylist
was
O InputMailFilters=greylist, greylist

It had an extra , greylist in there!  This was after upgrading from 
Fedora Core 5 to Fedora 7. hmmm
