Re: [milter-greylist] how to activate geoip under debian

2013-04-02 by Juan Carlos Sanchez

Hello:

Does it work geoiplookup command from command line? I mean, what is the
output of "geoiplookup 8.8.8.8" command?

If it works, geoip looks well installed. Then, you must add geoip
database path to milter-greylist.conf file. Something like:

geoipdb "/usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat"

And milter-greylist must have been compiled with --with-libGeoIP option
enabled.
You are using the debian package for squeeze. Try to find out how it was
compiled and it it has geoip support; if not, must compile your own
milter-greylist from source. If this is the case, maybe this old HowTo
(http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13694) may help you.

Best regards.
