I am wondering if this could be a dead lock situation between the
autowhite and pending queues. Probably not, but to be sure, is there a
chance you can try the no_autowhite patch to see if that helps your
situation? The patch combines the queues into one, so it avoids
potentially locking conflicts between the two.
