Yes, I'm trying to catch up with that problem after having been 
swamped by an OpenLDAP setup.

My only concern here is that we only have two reports on using this patch,
one positive, and one negative. Indeed an efficient way to gather more 
reports is to include it in another beta. Perhaps we should do that.
