We use milter-greylist on the 2 mx-servers we have, running Solaris 9. We autowhite after 1 minute, keep autowhite for 14 days and timeout greylist entries after 5 days. We have 90000 incoming connetions/day (not the same as incomiing letters, since these can be retries on the same or the secondary mx-server.) We deliver 14000 letter/ day. (Greylisting works...) We have 250000 greylisted entries in the database, which should mean approx 50000 letter are stopped each day. Right now we do not use lazyaw, but I'm thinking of turn this on. (How many uses this. I'd like to hear about + and -.) Database is 31 MB, Size of milter-process is about 60Mb. We've had small problems with MTAs( a few) not understanding the temporary error code, and fixed this by whitelisting these. People are generally very satisfied with the result. Those who are not can get this turned off. Just be very clear when you start and inform what is happening. > > ray > /klas
