fixing my Poly 800 update

fixing my Poly 800 update

2004-08-09 by kp8002000

I went to radio shack and got a 3V Lithium battery and instaled it
in my poly 800. Though some features seem to be working
better, it is still kinda messed up.
Since the battery replacement, I can now program patches
however, it dosn't seem to save them after I power down. The
tape interface dosn't seem to be working as well(keep getting
errors) I think that the problem is deeper than the internal battery.

I know this sounds weird but is the radio shack lthium battery supply the proper current. I get all my batteries at local synth repair place.
Maybe this is a dumb point. Also it you leave the regular batteries in the same thing happen. I havent the faintest clue I see no mention in the service notes of such a regular problem.I have expanded service notes not on the sight..
Good luck...
Sucks its messed up.
