Max for Live : Poly 800 II / EX-800

Hello,


I made a basic Max for Live patch to control program change and the DCO/VCF mod parameters.


I think it's kind of not well known that these can actually be automated in realtime via MIDI.

I have an EX-800 but according to a service manual for the 800 II it receives the same 2 midi CC messages so I'm assuming it will work. 


Whenever I finally receive my hawk-800 I hope to do a full editor.

Say Mike, does this mean the HAWK-kits are on their ways soon?
By the way - I've made a 3D joystick knob replacement model for my Poly800 and have installed it. It needed a bit of tweaking but overall it looks pretty good.

Yes, I will be shipping out kits this week.

When you say you rebuilt the joystick. What did you use for the joystick pot assembly?

I have developed a new PCB that puts a PS2 joystick where the Poly one used to be. I haven't ordered any boards yet to see how well it works. Mostly, because I've been trying to find a slightly better quality joystick movement. The attraction to the PS2 type is that they're so darn cheap.

Yes, I sold out of the knobs and the paypal button is no longer on the HAWK800 web site - at least a year ago.

But I created a brand new joystick PCB that takes a PS2 joystick assembly instead. I haven't ordered any boards yet to test it out. But I will some time this year.

Yes you can  - The know is still in beta though because I might do some tweaking on the markings. I  ordered my own in black detail plastic but it looked quite rugged initially, had to polish it up a bit. Other materials might not have that problem.
