Korg Poly800/EX800 Users

I am restoring a poly 800 and have noticed that for some reason the mod wheel only bends the pitch downward. Attempting to bend the pitch up has no affect. I tried cleaning the bender pots and the joystick contacts with deoxit with no effect. Do I need to further dissasemble the mod wheel?

Strangely enough the pitch mod is working fine today.
