The HAWK kit - update

The HAWK kit - update

2011-04-24 by korgpolyex800

Hi Hawk owners,

For those of you who have been HAWK fans, I thank you!

The arpeggiator software update will be released very soon. I know some of you
are very interested in that feature.

For customers that bought the kit within the last six months, I discovered that
I was supplied with a batch of bad 256K flash memory chips.

If you experience problems with your kits I am going to provide a repair
service. I will help you to determine if your kit has a bad flash chip.

Then, you pick up the cost of shipping the HAWK board back to me and I will do
the repair for you and pick up the cost of shipping it back to you.

I apologize for the difficulty some of you have recently experienced. I hope you
can understand that when I or anyone else order chips, we all have an
expectation that the chips are OK. In this particular shipment of chips, I
discovered that 4 out 5 of them were bad.

A little update on the hardware side of things. I have redesigned the HAWK
board. It is now much smaller and uses fewer chips. This makes it much better
for MK2 owners and much easier to mount in the Poly-800 and the EX-800.

Thanks for taking a moment to read my update.

Rock on - Korgers!

Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the message.

First time I hear about the arpegiator software and I'm very interested about it!!!

One thing I wanted to know, did you get the chip for the AtomaHawk?

Best regards,

Bapt.

Yes, I ordered and received 200 pieces of the digital pot chip.

So I have enough for 200 more before I would need to redesign the AtomaHawk.

Mike, next time you need to mass-email all the Hawk owners, PLEASE use Bcc: (blind carbon copy) instead of CC: (carbon copy). I've already received two spam emails from a retailer called 'Hello Music' thanks to your email address giveaway, and I'm sure everyone else has too.

FYI, market-targeted (in this case musicians), known-to-be-valid emails are worth about $5 each to marketers. You just gave away 86 of them, meaning that for some unscrupulous jerk it was like christmas morning since he just made $430 off it.
