Does anyone out there have a dead poly 800? I want one to salvage parts from, namely the joystick assembly. If you are in the US and you accept paypal, maybe we can work something out. Thanks in advance!

Zoinky from the circuit benders group just purchased one that he's sending back to whoever he purchased it from. The owner claimed the battery was dead and Zoink found the entire processor section was dead. Maybe you can get in the middle of this if they'll tell you about the condition of the parts you need. Good luck. --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "fluffyinsanitymonkey" <fluffyinsanitymonkey@...> wrote: > > Does anyone out there have a dead poly 800? "little update" for a man but a gigantic jump for the mankind... very, very good news. --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, Michael Hawkins <korgpolyex800@...> wrote: > > A little update... > > I am now able to control resonance, cutoff, MG delay, depth etc all via MIDI. > > At the moment, I do it using my special sysex commands that poke data directly into the EX800 memory. But since I already know how the MIDI controllers are set up in the EX800 ROM code, it will be a very easy task to integrate all of the controls into MIDI controllers. The only question is, which parameters do we want to make into a controller and which don't we?

hey thanks for posting this, I joined this group to learn about the mods when I picked up that dead Poly800 and I decided I still want a Poly 800 after reading about all the rad mods here, so I'm not unsubscribing and waiting for a good deal on ebay. Anyway I brought the dead one back to the guy the other day and told him maybe he could sell it to someone wanting to salvage it for parts. I dont know if he wants to mail it though, but I doubt he'll be able to find anyone locally who wants it. I'll email him and let him know. I opened the thing up and everything else looks ok, the joystick assembly looks fine. --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "narfman96" <narfman96@...> wrote: > > Zoinky from the circuit benders group just purchased one that he's > sending back to whoever he purchased it from.
