Korg Poly800/EX800 Users

I have a Poly-800 and I am considering getting a Poly 800 II but 
wanted to know if Local control is switchable on/off and if you can 
set the send and recieve channels independently.

There's no such control on the Poly800 (even my mk2 doesnt have it) It
was (Still is?) a pretty cheapass synth

I wish i knew how to reverse engineer these old things, my Poly800 and
DSS-1 would get some new software features.
