Hi Mike, I re-flashed the third block of ROM, and the Error 6 has gone away. Who knows how the data got corrupted in the first place! Thanks for the help.

Here s a mad idea,put new batteries in the battery holder and use a psu when not using the batteries which will be most of the time,hence will retain programs.
