Replace IC34 (40H138) and while you're at I would try to replace IC33 (40H240) ..
the integrated original cost a lot but
for a budget you can find equivalent 74HC138 and 74HC240 for € 1 ...
IC34 and IC33 prone to failure, however, replace immediately and solve the problem.

PS: Changing battery is functioning but the only problem is that every four months you have to replace the CR2032 battery because you download.

I've double checked and the display still shows 1.8 50 01 with the sequencer switch at disabled. Various combinations of switches have no impact.
