No, the HAWK-800 does not provide DCO PWM. That is a limitation of the Poly-800 hardware design. It uses a MSM5232 tone generator that doesn't have any PWM feature at all. And because there's no PWM, there's also no good reason to create a unison mode.
But the FM-800 modification that comes with the AtomaHawk upgrade might be something you would like to use in a Johansson type solo.
I have been promising to do a youtube video demo of the AtomaHawk/HAWK-800 FM-800 modification so I guess I better go do that.
Mike.

I bought a poly 800 about 4 months ago, and don't really use it. I do
alot of Jens Johansson style lead playing and was wondering if this
hawk 800 upgrade allows you to do pwm with the DCO's, and perhaps a
Mono/Unison mode. I have tried and tried again to get a real polysix
(what johansson uses for his patch), but find they are really
expensive. If there is a way to do this with the hawk-800 i may just
have to purchase one, and finally get some use out of this synth,
otherwise, I may just sell it.
thanks
