Potmeters Mono/Poly

Potmeters Mono/Poly

2011-06-26 by sigma.draconis

Hi,

I want to replace 3 potmeters in my Mono/Poly.

Does anyone know if there are still some for sale somewhere?
Vintageplanet don't have them anymore.

Offcourse I can use a "normal" pot, but the original has an extended shaft, so the mounting distance is different.

Rotary Pot 10KB - EVH-5LA 802 B14 Linear.

Thanks for reply.

Yes, that's what I was affraid for.
I did opened and cleaned pots before, but the results weren't always that good. They still kept a little bit scratsy.
Do I have to use after the cleaning some fluid grease?
(Don't know the correct English word for it sorry)

Sigma.

I use "Caig Fader Lube".
There is a 5% version, which is used for solving and washing out the
dirt, and a 100% version, which is used as "grease", which seals and
also avoids remaining "micro scratchiness" as the fluid is a littlebit
conductive (but with very high resistance). It might be not the cheapest
solution, but I am quite happy with it.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
