The theory is sound. I've used two channels on my desk one inverted when passing audio through the MP4s filter to make it High pass.

I was reading the posts that have been going on and I wonder if someone knows how to mod the MP4 to have a wider range of LFO speeds.
I use the switch trick pretty often, but if I could have slow speeds and much faster speeds without it, that would be cool.
Also, I was thinking that eventually I want to get another SSM 2044 and try to add a serial high pass filter and have it use the same filter envelope and key tracking. (although it might be hard to fit 4 more knobs above the filter knobs)
I think if I take the output of the existing lpf and invert it and then mix it with the signal going through the second lpf, then that is a high pass, I believe. So it seems like it would be simple to do, but I might be grossly simplifying the process.
It would be a lot more interesting if I could switch between amp and filter envelopes for the high pass filter and maybe have a switch for VCA gate.
