where can I get a patch cartridge for my k3.

It took me around three months of ebay watching before I found one in
The USA for $29.00. New old stock. Seller was willing to post to
Australia. Works and looks brand new.
In that three months I saw one on an old rack unit that was being sold
for parts. But it still went for a little bit more than I was prepared
to pay. 
With patience you should find one out there somewhere.
