A recent Sound on Sound magazine "Synth Secrets" article discusses just that-- how the K3 is one of the better analogish synths for simulating a Hammond 88 8000 000 registration. > I know there was some talk about loading patch sysex files into the > computer on this list. If there's a way to dump the whole K3 bank at once, I don't know of it. Of course, I don't have the K3 user docs. What you can do is set up your sequencer to receive sysex data until interrupted and then (with the K3 in the send-sysex-on-program-change mode discussed in the other e-mails) cycle through all the patches in a bank. Each time the patch changes, the sequencer should receive sysex bytes. If this is transmitted to a K3/K3m, it should populate the patch bank with sounds. Good luck, Ben
