Yes I think I will have to investigate the editors, although I have notbeen able to get the DOS one to work under XP. Getting the Atari editorto run under Steem could be very cool. I have always been curious aboutthe Atari system.
What I really want to do is to get a handle on the K3s additivefunctions from within my favourite working environment; Project5.
I want to be able to see whats going on with the waveforms. I have found some very cool free VST effects that are awesome.
1. Voxengo SPAN http://www.voxengo.com/product/SPAN/
2. Dtblkfx http://rekkerd.org/dtblkfx/ This thing is amazing. It has a Sonogram which gives a picture overtime of the waveform. This lets you see the movement ; in the soundover time of filters and lfos etc. It seems to also be a wild multi-effect unit. Everyone should check this out.
3. S(M)exocope http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=4
This is what I was looking for originally and lets you see the wave cycle from the synth. Very Cool
If you get all three running at once you can really get inside what the K3 is doing.
Im trying to move from just button twidling into understanding sound synthesis. These tools should get me a fair way
