You would have to replace the pc board that runs underneath the keyboard. It would take about 1 hour, no soldering involved, just lots of screws and funny pins.

I just bought a K3 with one problem--one of the keys doesn't send
velocity information. (It does sound the note.) Anybody have a
replacement part? (And if you don't, how hard do you think it would
be to swap out the defective part with a key I don't use as much, like
a very high or low note?)
