Re: [k5synth] new abuser...

Well, the K5 is pretty old, and as you know, most companies don't carry parts for the old products. It's unfortunately true for the K5. You could try to ask kawaius.com's support but I doubt they still have some parts. If they don't have it, don't look for it. There are some replacements for the electronic parts but these don't always fit like the originals.

But that isn't really important as long as it's still working. If you want some sounds, you'll have to look in the Files section of the group for some of them. A couple of sounds require you to install some programs to be able to put them on the K5.

One day we might put all the sounds in the same format to make people's life easier but it's still not done.

Cheers,

hi, i'm moose, the programmer behind the band alaska highway and
building332, and have just purchased a K5 in perfect condition, apart from
FedEx pummelled the right end cheek in transit!

so, anyone know a good place to start looking for the plastic plus metal end
piece? i'm seriously looking at replacing both end cheeks with custom-made
wooden ends, but in the short term a replacement would be preferred...

anyways, looking forward to making some seriously screwed up noises with
this lil baby, after i read the manual a few times!! none of the 'rhodes
pianos' for me!

also, for those who are interested in stuff - my current kit list can be
seen online at
