Re: [exs] University of Iowa missing files

Re: [exs] University of Iowa missing files

I was just working on the French Horn and noticed that there's no files for
C3-B3 / mf (not even on the site).
Any suggestions about what to do?
I would eventually re-use the ff files and lower their level to fit in.

Btw, while this horn certainly has quite a "natural" touch, there's
defenitely some notes that I will delete from the patch for personal use. I
will of course leave that up to anybody and post the complete file.
Whenever I find the time I will also sort out the best sounding notes,
mangle them a bit (normalizing, cutting, loop adjustment) and post some
complete new patches. Using the EXS's loop function unfortunately doesn't
exactly cut it, the files are too critical, so I'll use WaveLab for these
tasks - read: this requires destructive editing, so I'd have to repost the
samples as well. But that might take a while.

Regards,
Sascha

This has been a problem on several of the samples on the Iowa server.
Some were missing, some had a bad link and some of samples they had
"lost" or forgot to record.
I have sent quite a few mails to U of I, and they very kindly fixed most of the
problems. The ones that now are missing we have to manage without I'm
afraid.
Just to be sure I'll check with them on Horn sample. It may have slipped my
attention.
