Go to Options>Preferences>Reset Preferences
untick 'Control 1 (Modulation Wheel)'

Thanks, but doesn't seem to have any effect on the USB port, only addresses
printer and com ports (I'm on the Mac). I'll check Unitor options... Thanks
for the suggestion, though.

This doesn't work for any virtual instrument. Doesn't even work if you run
it through a "plain" instrument and uncheck all possible "no reset" boxes.
And yes, this has a high potential of driving one mad, especially when
you're working on a part in cycle mode.

Sascha

So, no way around, huh? My solution was to put a mod setting at 16th
throughout the track. Always misses the first one, but at least it works.
This is very annoying.

I usually record a proper Modwheel setting at the beginning of a track
(using a second track playing through the same instrument so I can easily
mute it). Logic will then chase the events properly on a restart and/or
cycle jump.
But indeed annoying.

Sascha

Yeah, that's what I tried, but it doesn't always engage. Honestly, I feel
like 5.2 has been very buggy. It's frozen on me 3 times this session. It
used to be a lot more stable.

it seems audioinstruments don't read pitch or mod wheel data from the first
bar or so after hitting play. this is indeed VERY ANNOYING and has been
reported, by me, to emagic. they answered and acknowlegded.

oh, this was of course in 4.7, i'm still there but was expecting to not see
it in 5.x

ah well...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
