Sound Font Conversion

Sound Font Conversion

2002-01-05 by Paul Martinson

From reading all the past coments on the filter data being lost in sound
font conversions I am asuming that there is no way around that at this time.
So is there no software right now that will convert sound fonts into exs24
formats without losing the filter data. I am looking for something other
than a sound font player. I am hoping Translator will do it when it comes
out for the mac. If there is any software out there that will convert
soundfonts to exs24 with out losing the filter data please let me know. I
have found many useful soundfonts and even bought some from emu and would
like the sounds to sound the way they were intended.

Paul,
Keep an eye on CDXtract as well:

I know that the author is aware of keeping Roland filter data during
conversion, so it may also be the case with soundfonts. You could
e-mail him and ask.
