Anyone know of a way to convert Yamaha A series sample format to
Akai? so my EXS24 can load them.

Hi,
Anyone know of a way to convert Yamaha A series sample format to
Akai? so my EXS24 can load them.
You're a little bit out of luck here. Currently, I don't think that there
are any converters for the Yamaha series sample format. The Translator
conversion product (www.chickensys.com) states that the conversion is in
development. They don't say when they expect it to be ready. When they
complete it, it may be able to do the exs-24 conversion straight without
having to go to Akai format first. You may want to lobby them to get it
done. Also, there is CDXtract (www.cdxtract.com). On their website it says
that there have been very few requests for this conversion but they do plan
on implementing it at some point in time. That means that they are not
working on it presently but plan on it in the future.

HTH,
Fernando

None that I know of; however, Translator should have Yamaha->EXS support
within a week or so, we're about 90% done. PC first; Mac version is coming.

Any hints about the Mac version? I'm desperately holding out,
avoiding Virtual PC.
