Loops on Akai?

Loops on Akai?

2001-08-07 by goodmood34@yahoo.com

Hi everybody!

I'm new here, just bought the EXS and loving it!
One question though:
Doesn't the Akai-import function convert the loop-points from the
Akai-cd's?
I converted the Mirouslav Vitous strings and now I have to find loop-
points by hand for 42 violins????????

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Goodmood.

No it gets them. Maybe there weren't any in the first place?

I believe that it should get them (I haven't had a problem myself but I
haven't used this particular library). Do you have the original MV Strings?
I believe that the set that is now distributed by Ilio in North America was
re-programmed to include looped versions of their samples. The original had
no loops whatsoever. If you have the original version, then it is not
surprising that you have found this to be the case. If you have the Ilio
version, then I don't know what to suggest.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Huh? I didn't think that the MV set came in soundfont format. If you have
bought the set, then you should have documentation (that came with the set)
that indicates how the samples (programs) are organized in order to be
usable. I doubt that the documentation will show exactly all of the
programming (that would be up to you to look in detail at the programs and
samples) but it would explain how to use the samples. What puts up the red
flag for me is your comment of "i haven't miroslave vitous sample". If you
have bought the CD, then contact Ilio (www.ilio.com) who are the
distributors for it. They can help you. They seem like very nice people
any time I've talked to them.
