Drum Mapping

2001-06-29 by Mark_L_Holloway@hotmail.com

I have a question about drum mapping..

If I'm in the EXS24 'edit' window, select new, then select 'Load
Multiple Samples' I then select several .WAV or .AIF files to load,
then EXS asks me how I want to load them in and I select "Drums". By
default, EXS puts all the sound files on C3, so I then open each
samples' Window, assign it the next key over, click "Disable Pitch",
and move on to the next sample. So a kick drum is C3, snare D3, open
hihat E3, closed hihat F3, and so on. Is there a way for EXS to do
this automatically? Or do I need to change each one manually like I
have been doing?

Thanks,

Mark

Use "Chromatic" instead of "Drum". Last I heard, this was only available on
the Mac.

Using chromatic works on the PC too.
