Saving pc power with the exs24 and routing to audio tracks???

Saving pc power with the exs24 and routing to audio tracks???

2004-07-03 by tayron777

I've been working with Logic Audio Pro, but I'm new to the exs24. I'm
looking to set up a drum kit with individual audio tracks for each of
the samples. It's my understanding that if I wanna put different
eq's & effects on a kick, a snare, a hi-hat, or a cowbell, that I
need
to set up 4 different instrument tracks and insert an exs24 instance
in each of the instrument tracks.

What if I wanna have 8 different samples belonging to one kit, and
all 8 samples on audio tracks of their own for seperate monitoring
and
effects? Is there any way of getting around opening up 8 instances of
the exs24 all containing the same kit???
 Something tells me that there
should be a way of opening ONE instrument track with 1 inserted
exs24-intance and somehow routing the 8 different samples to
8 audio tracks of their own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tayron

This is explained in the FAQ, specifically:

Not necessarily. You could also use the multi-output feature of the
EXS: have one instance and route different samples to different
outputs (in the instrument editor), which in the environment/mixer
are then dealt with by auxes. This is explained here:

If I understand your question correctly, the same answer applies: use
multi-outs.
