I don't understand what the problem is here.

YT has presented a demo on the net and has stated the legal grounds
on which this demo may be downloaded and used. Everybody sticking
to these rules may rightfully download and use their demo. Period.

What their agenda may or may not have been is completely irrelevant.
And wether their supposed intention will be met or not is likewise
completely irrelevant.

You don't stop using Prosoniqs free NPOLE filter just because you
didn't buy any other Prosoniq plugin as they presumably had hoped for.
